Smile Friday!
Just found this photo on my phone: me rocking a total gem of a Christmas gift. Notice the matching socks with dingleballs (pom-poms? whatever) on them.
Don’t be too intimidated.

Softball season is approaching!! I play on my company team, which is part of Seattle’s RAT (Radio, Advertising and Television) league. Not sure who decided that RAT was the best acronym to go with, but OK…
We play teams from the local TV and radio stations, other ad agencies and even a little-known startup called “Google.” (I’m sure it’ll take off someday.)
My softball skills can only be described as exquisite, and I play the following positions:
-Girl Who Screams When the Ball Comes Near Her
-Catcher Who Usually Doesn’t Catch the Ball
-Pinch Runner
-Scorekeeper
I’m gunning for MVP this year, baby. Watch out.

No big deal. Just an email from Ben.
I’m gonna make a video of the Seattle Do Life meetup tomorrow to share with all you Tumblr folk! Be there, and come find me. I’ll be the weird girl with the big camera and the cute boy.
A song for your Friday – Matt and Kim, “Good Ol’ Fashion Nightmare”
This came on at my gym once while I was on the treadmill. Makes me want to go outside and run. FAST!

Happy Friday! Free (work-provided) apple with almond butter and tomato-basil hummus for second breakfast.
My co. spoils us by providing a LOT of free food: apples, grapes, single servings of cheddar and string cheese, yogurt, a variety of cereals and oatmeal, granola bars, nuts, pretzels, orange juice, milk, soymilk, etc. Also, bottled water (sparkling and still) and canned soda (ick).
Gotta keep the worker bees happy! I stick to an apple-a-day and possibly a granola bar. I’ll snag a handful of Cinnamon Toast Crunch if I’m feeling grumpy, because it’s DELICIOUS.
Maybe its finally time to buy that I AM MADE OF GUTS shirt you’ve been eying, or a Running Shakespeare to complete your set! While you’re at it, grab one of Mango’s Thin Mint Commemorative mint-green tees!
100% of our profits from all these shirts will be donated to the LLS.
Just ordered my GUTS t-shirt. Planning to rock it for my 10K in April!
Went for a hour-long ride with Aaron as the sun went down in Seatown. It was my first bike ride in nearly three years! We rode on the Burke-Gilman trail, which is nice and flat and paved, so it was good. Definitely a good ride that worked out different muscles in my legs than running does — hence cross-training!
My legs felt tight on my run last night (3 miles, 29:10), so hopefully this ride helped loosen them up and I can go back at it tomorrow night.
P.S. DO NOT GO to Trader Joe’s when you’re hungry!! Aaron and I got anything and everything we craved, including lobster sushi, mac and cheese, fish and chips, sweet potato gnocchi and chocolate milk. We’re not eating ALL that tonight… but most of it.
Chocolate milk saves lives.
This GPOYW is a two-parter to show that I’m not a freak, since the second photo is kind of freaky.
Part 1: Standing normally.

Part 2: Caught in mid-landing after jumping off that rock for a super-cheesy photo. (Ignore the gross facial expression and red marks on my shoulders from the skydiving harness).

HOLY QUADS. Not exactly ladylike, but they were carved out by miles and miles of pavement, so I’ll take ‘em.

Bow down, other cities! Few can match the glory of a sunny day in Seattle.
