Well, the race shirt design is… bland…
But it’s a short-sleeve tech tee, so I guess that kind of redeems it!

Why yes, I did! I also have the exact same shirt in blue and in green. $8 for the win!
I wish I was good at picking out cute clothes, but I just stick to solid colors and basic styles most of the time. Easier on my brain. Easier on my wallet.
And I’d rather spend the money on running stuff anyway : )

Off to the D.O.(HEL)L. to renew my driver’s license. Yes, I got my first license when I was 19, for those who are counting.
Bad news is I’ll probably be stuck there for a while. Good news is that this is the first time I’ve busted out non-running SHORTS so far this spring! Yayyy, Seattle!

Mango-pineapple smoothie with soy milk, Greek yogurt and chia seeds.
I suggest you make it happen to your life immediately.

Smile Friday: Making the video edition. Not sure why I busted out this creepy half-smile. Watch out… I might try to Remeem your Soul!
I’m home today trying to get lots of stuff done before a busy weekend! I cleaned the heck outta this kitchen:

In preparation for friends coming over tomorrow night for a birthday dessert potluck and consumption of this:

Yes, I bought a case of $3 wine. Only the best for my friends!!
I actually really enjoy Charles Shaw and can’t wait to have a glass or five tomorrow. I haven’t had even a sip of alcohol since April 30, and I’ll be ready to celebrate after my race!
The beautiful flowers from my mom made it home from work:

They look so nice and cheerful on this sunny day!
I want you guys to know that I’m just tickled by all the nice comments, messages and ACS donations that are rolling in as I get ready to race tomorrow. Every little boost of confidence helps!
And yes, I’m bringing “tickled” back. Such a good word.
Tomorrow, May 21, is my first 15K race. My first run of more than 8 miles. My 24th birthday. And the final day of the raffle.
I’m ready.
Are you?
Please reblog if you like the video! : )

We went on a walk with my camera tonight to do a fun little project, then continued on to grab Thai food for dinner. We walked back home while laughing and eating gelato. A great impromptu date on a beautiful Seattle night.
Here’s Aaron, the way I always see him.

My third (and final… ….) cake pop of the day. My co-worker brought a bunch in to celebrate my upcoming birthday and some promotions in our department.
When people at work comment on how healthily I eat, I usually respond with, “I eat healthily most of the time so I can eat crappily some of the time.”
Welcome to some of the time!
Edit: As Aaron likes to say, my tummybox is broken (stomach ache). Live and learn. Every single bite was delicious, though!
DUDE. This dog is beating my fundraising total by $26 right now!
Bravo, Dozer. I’m not even upset. I get it… you’re way cuter than I am!
The Baltimore Sun is reporting that Dozer, a three-year-old Goldendoodle who lives along the Maryland Half-Marathon course, escaped his invisible fence and started running with the pack during Sunday’s race sometime before mile 5. Dozer’s owner began searching for him and he eventually returned…
