Hellooooo from Mt. Cook National Park!

I did a quick 3-mile run upon arriving here just to check out the scenery. It’s beautiful, of course. I’ll let you know when I find an ugly place in New Zealand (never-ish).
I was a little huffy and puffy on this run, and I was like, WTF? I just ran seven yesterday!
Then I checked out the elevation stats on the Garmin Web site. Queenstown is about 1,050 feet above sea level, whereas my run today rocked out at 2,500 feet above sea level. Whee!
Or my huffing and puffing could be directly related to the amount of generic “hazelnut spread” (cheap backpacker’s Nutella) I’ve consumed today… directly from the jar… but let’s just go with the elevation thing, hmm?

P.S. The road I ran on was called Hooker Valley Road. That is all.
