Bad news

You guys, something is wrong with Aaron.

After completing the 204-mile Seattle to Portland bike ride two weekends ago and Warrior Dash this past weekend, he has this strange feeling he just can’t shake.

It’s an uneasy feeling… a restlessness… he can’t sit still.

It turns out that he has a fever, and the only cure is SWIM-BIKE-RUN.

Symptoms include tracking tri bikes on Ebay, watching Ironman videos on YouTube and signing up for races less than a week before raceday.

Worst of all, I hear it’s contagious.

Hopefully he’ll be cured this Sunday. It’s tough to say.

You never know until you TRI!

I’m posting this video again for anyone who may have missed it yesterday – My First Half Marathon: Rock ‘n’ Roll Seattle

And also because I just got this really awesome message:

switchinggears asked you:

I totally cried when I watched your recap video. You’ve inspired me to become a runner ever since I started following you. Keep up the phenomonal work!

Thank you!!! I like making people totally cry! In a good way, of course.

And speaking of that half marathon I did a few weeks ago, here’s the video about it that I finally got around to finishing (man, the things I accomplish when I’m sick!).

Aaron took a bunch of video for the American Cancer Society and I snagged some of it to throw together with my pre-race freakouts. Yes, I freak out as much as everyone else does before a race, if not more! Evidence = above.

Race footage and photos by Aaron; editing by me; song (“Beautiful Life”) and brief appearance by Everclear; purple “Strongest, Fastest” t-shirt by wbaw.

Wheeeeeee!
