This photo from right after this morning’s 8-mile run really represents my post-run priorities:

Remove fuel belt, Garmin, shoes and socks. Chug more water. Immediately make a smoothie. Immediately drink the smoothie.

And, yum.
Then, it was off to pick up Aaron’s packet for his first triathlon.

He got marked up with his race number and age, since tomorrow morning will be busy enough without having to worry about that.

I got marked up, too. : D

My post-run hunger kicked in, so we picked up some Chipotle and soaked up the sunshine at Gas Works Park. Yummmm.

Then we headed over to Aaron’s version of Disneyland: the tri store!
It’s called Speedy Reedy, although I’m not too sure why…?

Aaron picked up a tri top, tri shorts, goggles and some fuel. I snapped this nice tri-suit edition of the creepy fitting-room photo:

I felt like a badass just trying it on! Triathons are definitely in my future. Possibly even this year. We shall see.
Tomorrow, Aaron will complete a sprint triathlon with no tri training (he signed up for the race on Tuesday) and a broken hand (he gets his cast on Monday). I’m super excited to cheer him on and take pictures.
I think he’s gonna kill it!!!
