Monday inspiration: Ben Does Life in Seattle
I’m only three runs into my new Defyance 4s, yet I’m already a total Brooks convert. Seven miles on Saturday with no discomfort, blisters, etc.? Done and done.
I just found out my mom and Don also rock Brooks shoes – Ghost 3 and Trance, respectively. Don is also running the Seattle Rock ‘n’ Roll half marathon on June 25, and he’ll probably smoke me! Wouldn’t be the first time…

I wasn’t the only one putting together a video yesterday! Aaron threw this Porsche showcase together and of course it’s incredible. So, so talented, that man.
The music is killer. If only I can get this to play over and over again during my next race… epic.
A quick video shoot I did of a Porsche Turbo this weekend. Only had about 45 min to shoot the footage but I think I pulled enough together to get a decent final product. It was a very spontaneous shoot.

So I missed the boat on Facebook chat due to the terribly important work I was doing in other windows, but you heard it here first, people.
Ben said so. Must be true! : )
Here’s the Do Life: Seattle outtakes video that I promised you lovely folks in exchange for making my first day of American Cancer Society fundraising a great success!
We all had great fun at the Do Life meetup last weekend and I think this video shows that. The original video is longer and a little more serious, so click here if you wanna check that out!
A huge THANK YOU again to all of you who have donated to the American Cancer Society so far. I’m jumping right into training for my first half-marathon and your support really means the world to me.
CLICK HERE if you’d like to donate!
P.S. That’s irondoeslife who’s done three Ironmans. THREE! Also, don’t miss the little clip at the very end… because Aaron and I are very strange.

Look who got her “I Am Made of Guts” shirt!! Totally wearing this for my 10K on April 17.
Follow Abel, who designed this shirt, at 6n6challenge, and buy a sweet shirt or donate to his amazing efforts for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
P.S. When ordering the American Apparel version of this shirt, go big or go home. I normally wear a size small, but this is a large and it fits perfectly.
P.P.S. Sorry for the awkward Sunday-morning hair. Throw a hat on it!

Mini car, mega fun!

First run with the DetermiNation team is complete!!! 7 miles in 1:30.
The girls I ran with started out much slower than I’m used to, but that’s best for long runs anyway. I sped up near the end and finished feeling strong and awesome! Nothing hurt — just my knees felt a bit creaky. I was very happy I was able to keep up with people who’ve been training for this half since January! Everyone was very nice and I’m SUPER glad I joined this team!
Now Aaron and I are taking his 1966 Mini Cooper S to a car show. He’s gonna drool over Ferraris while I dream about crushing some Chipotle!

Someone posted this photo on Facebook… thought all you Crossfit junkies would enjoy it : )
