Last night I did LOTS of stretching, foam rolling and “yoga for runners” poses via YouTube. Instead of doing all that stuff post-race, on Sunday I ate, blogged, checked the official results page incessantly, napped and then drank lots of wine with my roommates.
Always wine with the roommates.
I paid the price yesterday with lots of leg soreness/tightness. My hamstrings are still pretty tight, but better. I might just need a recovery run to help loosen them up.
Lesson #1: Don’t be like me.
